How to use the Philippines Take Home Pay Calculator
- Read the scope and choose the correct period and salary basis.
- Enter amounts in Philippine pesos. Replace the example values with your own planning figures.
- Select Calculate estimate, then compare each output with your records.
Worked example
With ₱30,000 cash gross pay, no exempt cash component, employee SSS of ₱1,500, PhilHealth of ₱750 and Pag-IBIG of ₱200, the modeled taxable base is ₱27,550. Regular withholding is ₱1,007.55, leaving ₱26,542.45 before any other after-tax deductions.
Method and limitations
Begin with the cash earnings for the month. Identify verified exempt amounts within those earnings, then the employee statutory contributions that payroll treats as excluded from taxable compensation. Calculate withholding on the resulting base. Finally subtract authorized after-tax deductions from cash pay. Employer contributions are part of employer cost and should not be subtracted again from your take-home amount.
Save the month, cash gross, exempt items and employee shares with your own records. Reconcile all deductions to the payslip and compare the final credit with your bank statement. This model covers ordinary private-sector employee planning; it does not determine legal deductions, minimum wage status, benefits eligibility or annual tax settlement.
